Alexander E. Brunner studied at the University of St. Gallen HSG in Switzerland before working for many years in alternative investments and hedge funds. He is the author of several books and reports about blockchain and Web3: “Crypto Nation Switzerland” (2019), the “Swiss Digital Asset and Wealth Management Report 2021”, “Swiss Digital Asset Market Report 2022” and the “Swiss Digital Asset Custody Report 2023”.  In 2022, at the World Economic Forum in Davos and in the presence of the Swiss minister of finance, he inaugurated “Home of Blockchain.swiss”. It is a Swiss public-private partnership that promotes the Swiss blockchain ecosystem internationally. 

Alexander is the principal of Brunner Digital, a Swiss-based advisory firm for international fintech and Web3 companies entering the Swiss market. The company has clients from the US, the UK, the EU, Korea, Taiwan and Turkey. The company also advises several governments on the Web3 ecosystem.  Alexander is also an international speaker. From 2015 until 2022 he was a Member of Parliament in the City of Zurich.
