Honorable Judge Sukjoon Lee

I am currently serving as a judge affiliated with the Court of the Republic of Korea, having worked at the Chuncheon District Court, Suwon District Court, and Seoul Bankruptcy Court. In the judiciary, I specialize in the fields of finance and bankruptcy, handling practical aspects related to these areas. I have presented and lectured on the improvement of regulations and practical issues related to virtual assets and blockchain at various venues, including the courts, the National Assembly of Korea, and Binance (Asia Pacific). I have also authored sections on collective investment dealers and over-the-counter derivatives in financial practice manuals published by the court. Additionally, I have written a book compiling judgments related to virtual assets. Currently, I am conducting research on regulatory improvements for virtual assets and artificial intelligence. I reside in Seoul, South Korea, having graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in law. I completed my doctoral program in Commercial Law and Financial Law at the same university. I also serve as a director at the Korean Blockchain Law Society.
