Errol Cova is a globally recognized regulatory innovator with over 27 years of experience shaping the future of financial supervision, capital‑markets development, and digital‑asset regulation. As Director of Supervision at a Global Financial Regulatory Authority, he spearheads forward‑leaning regulatory frameworks designed to strengthen market integrity, elevate consumer protection, and enable responsible innovation in rapidly evolving fintech ecosystems.

Prior his current role, Errol spent 24 years at the Centrale Bank van Curaçao en Sint Maarten, where he held senior leadership positions across Securities, Governance, Trust, Compliance, and Conduct Supervision. He also established and chaired the Central Bank’s Innovation Platform, functioning as the jurisdiction’s innovation hub and advancing policy readiness for emerging technologies, digital transformation, and new financial‑market infrastructure. Errol also headed the Central Bank’s Expert Supervision Division, leading strategic initiatives in corporate governance, AML/CFT compliance, market integrity, fraud prevention, and financial resilience; helping shape supervisory excellence across the Caribbean Region.

On the international stage, Errol has contributed to CFATF mutual evaluations and OECD Global Forum peer reviews, reinforcing global standards in transparency and information exchange. He also Chaired the International Forum for Investor Education and works closely with IOSCO, the Central Banking Institute, and other standard‑setting bodies, guiding jurisdictions worldwide on innovation strategy, digital‑asset frameworks, and capital‑market modernization.
