Hany Mesha is Head of Architecture for the Americas and a Principal Solution Architect at Oliver Wyman, based in Toronto. He has over 25 years of experience in technology leadership and solution architecture in financial services, with a focus on digital assets and responsible financial market innovation.
Hany specializes in designing secure, interoperable architectures that enable tokenization, stablecoins, and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) to operate safely alongside existing banking, payments, and risk infrastructures. His work spans Ethereum and EVM-compatible networks, the Canton Network, and Digital Asset’s Daml technology, with an emphasis on resilience, regulatory compliance, and operational integrity.
In addition to digital assets, Hany works at the convergence of blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), and quantum technologies. He advises institutions on how AI can enhance risk management, compliance, and monitoring in digital asset ecosystems, and how emerging quantum capabilities—and associated quantum security risks—should be addressed through forward-looking cryptographic and architectural strategies. This holistic perspective helps organizations adopt digital assets in ways that are both innovative and secure.
Hany has contributed to initiatives including tokenization strategies for market infrastructures, platforms for tokenized financial instruments, multi-institution pilots for collateral tokenization of government securities and other assets, and a CBDC-based solution aimed at improving financial inclusion and the efficiency of rural credit markets.
Across his work, Hany collaborates with financial institutions, technology providers, and public-sector stakeholders to bridge technical implementation, policy objectives, and market realities. He holds a Diploma in Systems Design and Analysis from Seneca College of Applied Arts and a B.Sc. in Engineering and Management from Benha University, Egypt.
