Kenneth Kou

Kenneth Kou is a leader at the intersection of blockchain technology and global development. As the Head of Venture Lab at Mercy Corps Ventures, he founded and leads the Crypto For Good Fund, an initiative dedicated to scaling Web3 solutions for underserved populations in emerging markets. Under his leadership, the Fund has launched over 20 products across Africa, Asia and Latin America, building financial and climate resilience for hundreds of thousands of people in some of the world's most challenging environments.

Kenneth’s expertise spans inclusive fintech, climate resilience, and humanitarian innovation. His work is informed by deep field experience in countries including Afghanistan, Syria, Myanmar, Sudan, Kenya, and Colombia. Prior to joining Mercy Corps, Kenneth built a diverse career across management consulting, global health, and international development, and held leadership roles within the fintech startup ecosystem. He is dedicated to leveraging decentralized technologies to bridge the gap for the 1.4 billion unbanked and the billions more vulnerable to climate change, ensuring that the next generation of financial infrastructure is truly inclusive.
