Norma Krayem

Norma M. Krayem is the Chairman of the Cybersecurity, Privacy and Digital Innovation Practice at Van Scoyoc Associates. She is a recognized global expert in the fields of cybersecurity, privacy, FinTech, AI and digital transformation. She is known as trailblazer having created one of the first-ever cybersecurity practices at a major international AmLaw 100 law firm focusing on the national security risks to critical infrastructure. Her extensive career in Washington, D.C has spanned a unique blend of public and private sector experience where she held Presidential appointments in the U.S. government as an executive in the U.S. Departments of State, Commerce and Transportation, focusing on the intersection of critical infrastructure, national/homeland security, diplomacy, and international trade. She works on FinTech, blockchain, digital assets, cyber and crypto on a daily basis with Congress, the White House, U.S. Departments of Treasury, Justice, SEC, CFTC and more. She works with U.S & international regulators on all of these issues, including across bilateral/multilateral organizations and trade agreements in the G7, G20, EU, APEC etc. and is sought after by both regulators and media to discuss how to adapt current and create emerging regulatory structures to meet the needs of constantly emerging technology. With her extensive experience in Washington and in global trade and national security issues, she counsels businesses and non-profits on the art of navigating the nuances of ongoing political change while focusing on critical policy matters. She’s served on key advisory committees to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and other agencies and is a member of The Chatham House.
