Shan Ali is a PhD Law Scholar conducting research on “Digital Rhetoric and the Legal, Economic, and Social Applications of the Blockchain Network on Web 3.0.” His doctoral work focuses on the regulation of decentralized finance (DeFi) within the European Union. He has held visiting research positions at the Faculty of Law, University of Zurich (Switzerland), and at Nottingham Law School, Nottingham Trent University (United Kingdom), where he examined comparative approaches to blockchain regulation, DeFi governance, and cross-border compliance. His research and publications address blockchain regulation, artificial intelligence, and corporate law, and have appeared in international peer-reviewed journals. Alongside his academic work, Shan engages with public and private stakeholders on legal and regulatory issues related to blockchain, digital assets, and emerging technologies. He aims to contribute to the development of adaptive legal systems capable of governing the next generation of decentralized technologies.
