Dr. Cindy Hou

Dr. Hou is the Infection Control Officer for Jefferson Health - New Jersey (JNJ) and an Infectious Diseases specialist. She is dually board-certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases and previously served as the Interim Chief Quality Officer. Dr. Hou is the physician chair of the Infection Control Committee, Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee, and Sepsis on the Floors Task Force. She has played an active role in the state of New Jersey with sepsis and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives. In addition, Dr. Hou serves as a member on the Board of Directors of the Sepsis Alliance. Dr. Hou earned an M.B.A. and M.A. from Boston University, a D.O. from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, and B.S. from Yale University. She has a Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) and is a Fellow in the American College of Osteopathic Internists (ACOI), American College of Physicians (ACP) and the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA). At the national level, Dr. Hou has served on the CDC/IDSA COVID-19 Clinician Call Program and is a member of the IDSA’s Quality Improvement Committee.
