Decentralized Systems
Ellie Rennie is a Professor at RMIT University (Melbourne). Her current research is looking at the social outcomes of blockchain technology. Ellie holds a prestigious Australian Research Council Future Fellowship, and is Associate Investigator of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society. She is also a Research Director of Metagov, an international network of scholars who are developing datasets on blockchain governance. Prior to commencing her Future Fellowship, Ellie's research was focused on the topic of digital inclusion, particularly for remote-living First Nations people. Ellie is currently an Expert Panel member of the Australian Government's First Nations Digital Inclusion Advisory Group and has held various non-profit board positions in the area of communications and media. She has written or co-authored five books and is the producer of two documentary podcast series.
