Hermann Traore is a citizen from Côte d’Ivoire and father of three children. He is currently Director, Head of research, strategy, and business development and in charge of international cooperation for the Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobilières (BRVM), the regional stock exchange of the West African Economic Monetary Union. The WAEMU is a fully integrated political and economic zone shared by eight (8) countries in the West African region. These countries are Benin, Burkina Faso, Cote D’Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo. He holds a master’s degree in monetary and financial theories from and a master’s degree in wealth management. In 2020, he joined the IFC and Milken Institute Capital Market Graduate Program at the George Washington University. During this program he actively worked with the GBBC on the Global Standard Mapping Initiative (GSMI). He has more than twelve (12) years’ experience in the financial markets industry and worked as financial analysis, broker, FX sales dealer, asset and liability management and capital markets.
