Gigi Brisson

Gigi Brisson is a Co-founder and Partner of Attractor Ventures which invests in public and private high-tech companies, primarily in software, with its first private investment in Verisign in 1996, leading the last two private funding rounds for Salesforce.com, and remaining a shareholder through their IPOs and as public companies.  Gigi has been active in the blockchain space, especially in its application to conservation, participating in the 2018 auction of the CryptoKitty Honu Kitty to benefit marine life.  She has a BA in Economics from Northwestern University and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from NYU Stern School of Business.  In 2011, Gigi started Ocean Elders, recognizing that ocean health was rapidly declining and few people were aware.  Ocean Elders combines scientists and influencers to become a voice for the ocean, with initiatives and messaging based on real data and science.  The group includes some very well-known people who can help amplify the message that we need to protect the ocean, biodiversity, wildlife, and nature, itself.  Gigi has always been passionate about nature and is involved in several projects with the goal of getting kids reconnected to nature – understanding it, loving it, and protecting it.  She is an amateur birder, a “mom” to many critters,  and flies antique aircraft.
