Jorge Carrasco

Jorge Carrasco is a blockchain and Web3 expert and enthusiast, with 15+ years of experience building and developing lines of business related to emerging technologies. Working in the digital assets space since 2017, Jorge is a prominent member of the Middle East blockchain ecosystem, participating in numerous organizations, events and endeavours across blockchain, NFT and Web3. Jorge has worked on several DLT consortium implementations and supports clients in developing strategies for enterprise blockchain adoption across multiple sectors in the Middle East. With a holistic view of virtual assets regulations, Mr. Carrasco supports also regulators with their mandate, as well as companies in their journey to safely operate in the space. Mr. Carrasco excels at understanding of the goals, challenges and technical nuances corporate and government entities face, and translating them into innovative solutions that leverage the unique properties of blockchain technology and smart contracts. Mr. Carrasco leads the practice for Blockchain and Digital Assets for FTI Consulting in the Middle East and prior to that, he was Director of Emerging Technologies at e&, formerly Etisalat, acquiring vast experience on driving innovation and business in the Middle East. He has also held senior roles at Fon, Telefonica and Ericsson.
