Randall Baran-Chong

Randall Baran-Chong, CPA, CA is a Web3 entrepreneur, investor, and evangelist based in Toronto, Canada. By day, he is Founder and CEO of BizBridge.io, which connects new generations of business ownership through AI-and-blockchain enabled transitions to new buyers, employees or mixed ownership models through tokenization. By night, he is the Lead Steward and Architect of NorthstarDAO Foundation, a non-profit which mobilizes Canada’s grassroots Web3 ecosystem to bridge emerging technology to the mainstream through research, education, and advocacy with all three levels of government. In this role he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Canadian Futurist Report, a collaborative publication by Web3 community leaders. Randall also is an LP in the HoltXchange, a Canadian Web2/3 Fintech fund, and is a member of the Canadian Blockchain Consortium’s Web3 Committee. This follows a career in digital healthcare, where he last was Global Director of Digital Health Strategy and Ecosystems for KPMG Global. He founded his first blockchain venture, DoTell, in 2018 which sought to help us “live forever” by eliciting and encoding our life stories onto the blockchain, graduating from Founder Institute’s first blockchain cohort. He later was a Principal in a pre-seed emerging tech venture capital fund whose portfolio included Canada’s first licensed issuer of STOs. Randall has also engaged government and regulators on issues facing the technology sector through consultations and testified twice before the Parliament of Canada’s House Standing Committee on Industry and Technology. Randall is a true believer in the promise of blockchain and the prosperity it can deliver to the economy, society, and lives of people everywhere.
