Sankarshan Mukhopadhyay

Sankarshan has actively participated in free and open-source software projects for over two decades. Since 2019, he has been engaged in communities and forums focused on digital identifiers and identity, digital trust ecosystems, and data governance. He has co-authored the Principles of SSI maintained by the Sovrin Foundation. He has been a Chair of the Sovrin Governance Framework Working Group, which produced Governance Framework documents for a blockchain utility and a blockchain-based ecosystem. He works at Dhiway - a Bengaluru, India-based startup which is the primary contributor to the CORD project - a blockchain which enables network-of-networks to be built for use cases ranging from online digital commerce to hyperlocal marketplaces for services and asset tokenization. Sankarshan is interested in creating, growing, and sustaining digital trust ecosystems, particularly the governance models that allow for robust risk management.
