Trish Turner

Trish is a trusted tax and regulatory strategist with more than 25 years of experience across public service, financial regulation, and emerging technologies. She is widely recognized for her leadership at the intersection of digital assets, compliance, and cross-border financial systems.

Most recently, Trish served as Senior Advisor and Head of the Digital Assets Office at the Internal Revenue Service, where she played a central role in shaping U.S. federal strategy for digital asset taxation, compliance frameworks, and interagency coordination. Throughout her career, she has led complex initiatives involving enforcement, policy development, and stakeholder engagement, working closely with domestic and international partners to address the evolving risks and opportunities presented by digital assets.

She currently serves as Director of Tax at Crypto Tax Girl, supporting clients across a wide range of digital asset compliance needs, and as Vice President of Public Sector at Asset Reality, where she advises on digital asset recovery, fraud, and public-private collaboration. Trish is also the Founder of the DAVIS Institute for Digital Asset Visibility & Intelligence Studies, a research organization focused on quantifying the digital asset tax gap and advancing transparency, education, and policy-relevant research across the ecosystem.
