Vipin Bharathan is the chair of the Hyperledger Capital Markets Special Interest Group. Vipin is a Forbes contributor on the topics of Blockchain and crypto currency. He is vice chair of the Interoperability Workstream in Digital Currency Global Initiative, a joint project between the ITU and Stanford University. Vipin is the founder of dlt.nyc, a consulting firm at the intersection of dlt, capital markets and tokenization.

While working as the head of MBS product development in BNP Paribas, he was appointed Blockchain Strategist for North America and contributed to the founding discussions of R3, DA and the EEA; all significant players in the burgeoning field of digitalization of assets and payments. Through Hyperledger, Vipin has contributed to many of the more than 17 projects housed there.

Vipin Bharathan has worked as a developer and product manager in Industries as diverse as Foreign Exchange Trading, Debt Capital Markets, Customs Brokerage, Medical Malpractice Insurance and Media.
