Walter Moesenbacher

Walter Moesenbacher is a recognized expert in digital finance, blockchain technology, and fintech.

Since September 2024, he is the Managing Director of the Digital Assets Association Austria (DAAA), a leading industry network bringing together major crypto exchanges, banks, consultancies, startups, investors and other key stakeholders.

Prior to joining DAAA, Walter spent more than two decades at Austria’s largest banking group, where he led the group’s digital competence center and played a central role in its digital transformation. During his tenure as Managing Director, he and his team delivered a globally recognized innovation within the banking sector.

In parallel to his executive career, Walter is a lecturer at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Wien), teaching fintech, startups, and digital finance. He is actively engaged in the global digital asset ecosystem and serves as a strategic advisor to FINTECH Circle London.

Walter’s work sits at the intersection of finance, technology, and innovation, positioning him as a key figure in the digital asset landscape. He holds a PhD from the University of Graz.
