GBBC's IWA Frameworks and Standards to Advance Data Integrity and Interoperability in the Energy Sector with Blockchain for Energy
Published

The InterWork Alliance (IWA), an initiative of the Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC), empowers organizations to adopt and use token-powered services in their day-to-day operations, across use cases and networks, bringing inclusivity to globally distributed applications.
Today, Blockchain for Energy (B4E) — a non-profit consortium of energy companies including Chesapeake Energy, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Devon Energy, ExxonMobil, Repsol, Saudi Aramco, and more — has announced B4ECarbon, an emissions management solution that leverages blockchain, AI, and IoT systems, developed in collaboration with Enovate AI.
B4ECarbon was developed with input from IWA’s frameworks and standards to advance data integrity and interoperability, alongside collaboration from GBBC members, including Hedera Hashgraph for data management and transparency, and technical support from Rearden Digital Assets.
