Ian Horne

Ian Horne, author of Why DeFi Matters, is a content expert and public speaker, formerly working as Head of Content for both Xapo Bank and Money20/20, Europe’s biggest independent event for banking, payments and fintech. He began his career as a journalist, interviewing a range of slam-winning tennis players and chart-topping musicians, and would later join financial publisher and events company Citywire, where he led the UK networking team for wealth managers and financial advisers. Recognising the opportunity for technology to revolutionise the institutional wealth market, Ian launched Citywire’s Wealthtech brand, newsletter and podcast, and this career pivot would lead him to his current role. Ian specialises in helping senior executives in financial services amplify their messages and tell their stories in bold and creative ways.
