GBBC Announces 2026 Appreciation Awards Recipients

GBBC’s Appreciation Awards recognize leaders and innovators whose support and service to our community have helped shape the blockchain and digital assets ecosystem. As we begin 2026, GBBC is proud to celebrate recipients across three award categories.

GBBC USA’s Public Service Appreciation Awards recognize former public servants whose leadership has advanced policy, market integrity, and responsible innovation in digital assets. The 2026 recipients are Caroline Pham, fmr. U.S. Commodity Futures and Trading Commission, and Adrienne Harris, fmr. New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS). 

Distinguished Leadership Awards recognize exceptional leadership and long-standing contributions to advancing trust, innovation, and dialogue across the digital assets industry. The 2026 recipient is David Treat, Pearson, fmr. GBBC Board Director. 

Distinguished Community Impact Awards honor individuals who have driven meaningful collaboration, education, and ecosystem building across blockchain, policy, and global institutions. The 2026 recipients are Suleiman Barada (United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia), Alexander E. Brunner (Home of Blockchain.swiss), Michael Carr (Buen Crypto Consulting), Jacqueline Cooper (Maryland Blockchain Association), Nicolas Jacquemart (Cardano Foundation), Hannah Meakin (Norton Rose Fulbright), Nilmini Rubin (Hedera Council), Lana Schwartzman (Notabene), Doro Unger-Lee (Ava Labs), Paola Valencia (GBBC Ambassador, AI Convergence), and Ken Weber (Ripple). 

Additionally, GBBC recognizes the 2025 award recipients: Kristin Johnson, Paul Thanos, Mary Ann Callahan, Carole House, Anne-Marie Kelley, Linda Lacewell, Summer Mersinger, Raj Mukherjee, Jeanette Quick, Christy Goldsmith Romero, and Amanda Wick. 

GBBC extends appreciation to these awardees, who reflect the depth of leadership and commitment needed to support the adoption of blockchain, digital assets, and emerging technologies for more secure and functional societies.
